Celebrating Postgraduate Research at the ºÚÁϳԹÏ.
Each year, the Doctoral College and the Super Rep Group at the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï host the Festival of Doctoral Research - a vibrant showcase of the innovative and impactful research carried out by postgraduate research students across the University. The festival provides a platform for students to share their work, connect with others, and highlight the real-world impact of their research across a wide range of disciplines.
Held both in-person and live-streamed online, the festival highlights the work of students from a wide range of postgraduate research programmes, including MRes, MPhil, PhD, Professional Doctorate, and PhD by Publication.
What the festival offers
The festival brings together the University’s research community to celebrate and share new ideas. The programme typically features:
- A Keynote
- Student presentations on a wide variety of research topics
- ‘Five by Five’ sessions, where students communicate their research in just five minutes using five slides
- Creative competitions, challenging students to present their work through crafts, posters, visuals, elevator pitches, and more.
The event is also a space for networking, inspiration, and collaboration among postgraduate researchers, academics, and professional staff.
