Recruit student volunteers

Advertise your volunteering roles to our skilled and flexible students and graduates

In 2023/24 over 3,700 students and graduates of the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï took on volunteering roles in the local community and on campus.

Opportunities were available via the Careers and Employability Service, Sport and Recreation Department, Students' Union and for work-based learning modules in faculty. 126,480 volunteering hours were contributed to the local community across the course of the year.

Whether looking for course or career related experience, wanting to gain skills for their CV or looking to give back to a cause they are passionate about, students can volunteer in a variety of different ways. Some do so on a regular basis and other engage in one-off activities.

Our social work students have supported local families through stay and play groups, our law students have given restorative support through local mediation services and our creative technology students have supported local festivals and Comic Con. Students also volunteered in areas including marketing, website design, event management, business operations, community justice, sustainability and adult social care.
