Join us to strengthen collaboration between the University, our students and the construction and surveying sectors to help achieve our shared goal: developing a sustainable, inclusive talent pipeline to drive future growth and innovation in the built environment industry.

During the afternoon you'll:

  • Get involved in meaningful dialogue between academia and industry leaders

  • Gain insight into current and future skills needs across the construction and surveying professions

  • Help address inclusivity challenges within the sector to help share a more equitable build environment

  • Connect with students, academics, and fellow professionals to support a more diverse and equitable talent pipeline

  • Explore collaborative opportunities such as placements, mentoring, curriculum design, and knowledge exchange

Enjoy lunch on us as you'll get opportunities to network with academic staff and other industry professionals

We'll get you settled in as we get ready to explore the sector and how we can actively reshape the University curriculum to ensure we are aligned with the real-world skills and employability demands of the industry

Hear from stakeholders including the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and  theChartered Institute of Building for an understanding of the future of the industry.

We'll also be covering our Estates Masterplan and the exciting initiatives and building work that the University has lined up over the upcoming years for our students.

You'll get the opportunity to quiz stakeholders about your questions; whether it be addressing future challenges, collaboration opportunities or how better we can prepare students.

Grab a tea, coffee or cold drink before we continue the afternoon looking at future opportunities.

Create an impact with workshops around the future of the curriculum; including how this can be designed and implemented with your help.

We'll summarise the day with our next steps that we can work on together but feel free to stick around if you wanted to carry on networking.
